Answer to Trivia

The original animated film 101 Dalmatians and its two live-action followups were certainly geared to a younger set. The new reimagination under the guise of Cruella is decidely not.

In the 1996 live-action film 101 Dalamatians and its 2000 sequel 102 Dalamatians, Glenn Close plays the iconic baddie with much aplomb. For this new take on the classic antagonist, Emma Stone steps into the dog fur coat business.

Cruella is sort of a prequel to the franchise by placing the action on a younger phase of Cruella's life. It plays with the fragile psyche that eventually leads to the events of 101 Dalmatians, so it might not be the most family-friendly release this week.

Cruella is now available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD.
